The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is set to hold its 20th edition this weekend and the big question is who hosts it, as the intended MC for the show, Kwame Sefa Kayi, has reportedly pulled out.
According to a publication by NYDJlive.com, the organizers have been hit with a big blow following the veteran broadcaster’s last-minute decline of the offer. The Ghana Music Awards stage is not new to Kwame Sefa Kayi as he has since the inception of the awards scheme hosted it on several occasions.
“Charterhouse is disturbed over Kwame Sefa Kayi’s inability to host the 20 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. It’s a big blow and this is mainly because the news came in at the last hour.” a source told the website.
However, Giovanni Caleb of 3FM and actress cum film producer, Sika Osei, have been booked to host the red carpet session of Ghana’s biggest night in music, this year at the ceremony which comes off on Saturday May 18, 2019 at the Accra Conference Center.
Charterhouse, organizers of the awards scheme, has advanced plans to make this year’s event its biggest ever as part of its 20 years anniversary. This intention, therefore, makes it a huge task, to get an MC worth the celebrations of the night.
The question now is, who hosts the historic 20 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards?
